24 drowned in Bihar boat mishap KHAGARIA: Twenty-four women were drowned when an overcrowded boat capsized here on Wednesday.

The boat, carrying the women to the other side of the river for cutting grass, overturned, drowning them, in the midstream near Dudhela village under Pasraha police station early today, Superintendent of Police Kamal Kishore Singh told media.

Singh said while the local divers recovered all the 24 bodies, a boy was still missing. All the victims were residents of Dudhela and Budhnagar villages, he said.
