Wapda defers bills’ payments for 10 days ISLAMABAD: On the directive of Federal Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf, Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) on Thursday issued a notification giving a 10-day extension for the payments of electricity bills’.

During this period, power consumers would not be charged any additional fine.

According to Lahore Electric Supply Corporation (LESCO) spokesman, government has formed a high level committee to review the power tariff hike. A meeting of special committee has also been summoned on Friday for resolving the issue of public complaints about inflated bills.

The committee would present its report to the government within 10 days
