Raj Thackeray gets interim bail DELHI: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena leader Raj Thackeray, who was arrested on Tuesday and spent a day in police custody, was granted interim bail for two days.

The Thane police produced Raj before a magistrate's court in Kalyan where he was granted bail on payment of Rs 15,000.

The Government Railway Police sought the custody of Thackeray in connection with a destruction of property case registered at Kalyan but Thackeray's lawyers said they had sought anticipatory bail in the same case at the Kalyan session’s court.

The magistrate's court granted Thackeray interim relief until October 24 in the GRP case and ordered him to pay a bail amount of Rs 25,000.

Strict security arrangements were made on this occasion while supporters of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena were also seen there in large number.
