Traders threaten to burn electricity bills in Lahore LAHORE: Following the footsteps of citizens, traders announced Wednesday that they would set the overcharged electricity bills on fire.

The announcement was made by representatives of All Pakistan Traders Association comprising Haji Maqsood Butt, Abdul Razzaq, Khalid Parvez, Haji Tariq and Ashraf Bhatti during a joint press conference in Lahore.

They expressed their desire to cooperate with the government, but added that people would come out in the streets if overbilling continued in the future. The enraged traders said they would discard the electricity bills and would launch a country-wise strike.

APTA further announced not to observe strike on call of federation of chamber and industry on November 25.
